On April 26, 2023, conference planners presented a live chat and Q&A to highlight the MBLGTACC experience and discuss MBLGTACC basics, such as program offerings, coordinating a group, and how to register.
Plus, check out information on how to register, view the tentative schedule, or contact us with additional questions.
Q&A
This will be our first time attending MBLGTACC. What should we expect?
MBLGTACC is a great time to attend sessions and learn something new, or build community and coalitions across the region. Check out past programs to see what kind of content you can expect to see at the conference.
Is it okay for folks to attend the conference from outside the Midwest?
Yes! While our focal point is Midwest queer and trans experiences, we’ve had folks from all over the country attend MBLGTACC and find the content valuable.
When does the discounted rate for hotels end?
Two hotels are offering a discounted group rate of $169 per night for MBLGTACC 2023 attendees. Please note, the quoted rate does not include taxes or fees. Please contact the hotel directly for more information about taxes and fees. Discounted rates end October 3, 2023.
Do you know which hotel is easier for someone with mobility disabilities?
Both hotels which are offering discounted rates to conference attendees are equidistant to the Central Bank Center. If you have specific questions about your needs and these spaces, please contact us and we would be happy to help.
How many meals are groups expected to cover on their own?
Your ticket includes lunch on Saturday. Attendees are on their own for other meals. As we get closer to the conference weekend, we will share information about affordable dining options in close proximity to the Central Bank Center.
We’d like to coordinate a bus or shared travel with other schools in our state. Is there a role the conference can play in helping with this?
Later this year, we’ll be launching a message board for conference attendees to connect with other attendees about arranging shared travel.
