8 things you need to know before coming to the 28th annual MBLGTACC

February 5, 2020

Coming to MBLGTACC 2020? Attending a conference can be a lot to handle, even for the most experienced among us. To help you prepare for our 28th annual gathering, we’ve compiled a list of the top things you need to know.

1. Your paid order gets you through the door

To be admitted to the conference, an attendee’s registration must be paid. Login to your account to see if your order has been paid »

2. Check your tickets.

We encourage all attendees to check their ticket to make sure they have filled out their name, pronouns, and other information. Checking now will make on-site check-in faster and easier for everyone! Login to your account to check your ticket »

3. Accessibility

MBLGTACC planners and the Institute are committed to the accessibility of the conference for all attendees. While most attendees disclose accommodation requests though the registration process, we recognize that sometimes things happen. Let us know if you need an accomodation and we’ll do what we can with the resources available. Email support@sgdinstitute.org with your accommodation request. Click here for more information about accessibility »

4. Parking

Free parking on the campus of Western Michigan University is available for conference attendees in lot 41 (Sangren Hall) and lot 35 (Miller Parking Structure). Click here to view a map of campus »

5. Hotels and shuttles

Shuttles will be available to transport attendees from conference hotels to campus, and on campus between Sangren Hall and Miller Auditorium (where the keynotes will be presented). Click here for more information about hotels and shuttles »

6. Policies and guidelines

Every conference location is different, meaning policies and guidelines sometimes change from year-to-year. Please be prepared and review the MBLGTACC 2020 policies and guidelines »

7. MBLGTACC is social

Follow us! One of the ways we’ll share updates, last minute changes, or other news is through MBLGTACC’s Twitter and Facebook. Don’t miss this info! (And, for funsies, follow us on the ‘gram!)

8. Pack for the weather!

The Polar Vortex has been scarce this winter, but… this is the Midwest! We encourage attendees to review weather forecasts for Kalamazoo, Michigan when packing for MBLGTACC 2020.
