Bring America’s largest queer and trans+ college conference to YOU

November 15, 2018

The Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Asexual College Conference is the largest and oldest-continuously held conference for queer and trans+ college students in the nation—and you could bring it to your campus or town. Do you have what it takes?

With two months until conference weekend, the Midwest Institute for Sexuality and Gender Diversity and the MBLGTACC Oversight Committee are inviting bids from interested groups of students to plan and carry out the 29th annual conference on their campus or in their town in 2021.

Hosting MBLGTACC is a two year commitment and requires a dedicated team of students who are ready to plan out their vision for the conference and invest the effort to make it happen. It proudly remains a conference for students, by students, but you’re not alone. Here are a few ways the Institute will support you in making the conference a reality:

  • From day one, you’ll get support and background from a campus relations coordinator, who the Institute will assign to be a reliable liaison and advisor throughout the conference planning process.

  • You’ll have a head start on tech tools with our registration software, website and social media platforms, and customizable templates for envisioning your program.

  • We’ll have your backs by providing tailored advising, specialized guidance on key operational areas, and invaluable resources to actualize your ideas and create space for more than 2000 queer and trans+ Midwest college students.

If you, your student group, or your college/university is interested in bringing MBLGTACC to your community, check out the criteria and bidding process. Bid forms are requested by Thursday, January 31, 2019. Presentations will take place at MBLGTACC 2019 on Saturday, February 16.
